CRIME UPDATES |
||
|
Dear residents of LYNDON,
These are the crime updates in the Lyndon area between 16th of FEBRUARY 2026- 24th of FEBRUARY 2026
VEHICLE CRIME
EASTBURY DRIVE- A BMW 2 series was stolen by unknown means via keyless method.
HOBS MOAT ROAD- A LEXMOTO motorcycle was stolen from BP GARAGE. Whilst the owner was paying for fuel, two suspects turned up on another bike. One of them jumped on to the victim’s bike and they both made off.
KENTS CLOSE-A TOYOTA YARIS was stolen from Kents Close. The vehicle was stolen without keys.
ON A POSITIVE SIDE
The team helped locate and arrest a wanted prolific offender targeting retailers in the Solihull area. After a lengthy foot chase and some fence hopping the male was cuffed and hauled off to custody and then before the courts. Officers from three teams all chipped in to bring the wanted male to justice.
The team seized a vehicle believed to be used in a range of serious criminal offences following some keen-eyed proactive work from one of the team. Getting it off the road will be a significant disruption to those wishing to commit crime in the area. A stolen car was also recovered by the team this past weekend which has hopefully made someone’s day to have it back safely.
An offender who has been committing Burglaries and vehicle crime on Warwick Road has been identified through CCTV enquires. The team have identified a timeframe of when the offences have been committed and have been conducting plain clothes patrols in the area to locate and arrest the suspect. Efforts are still ongoing to arrest the suspect and prevent him from committing further offences in the area.
Our nights response team responded to a Burglary in progress on 17/02/2026 whereby the 3 offenders were seen breaking into a property on Rowlands Crescent. The offenders made off prior Police arrival; however, one offender was located by officers and was arrested on suspicion of Burglary.
We have continued our proactive patrols in the area targeting Anti-Social Behaviour, drug hot spots and burglary/vehicle crime and looking for vehicles and suspects that are linked to committing crime in our area.
PCSO 31795 BEARD joined the STREETWATCH Group for a walk around the neighbourhood. Lastly, we would also like to thank everyone who has responded to the Anti-Social Behaviour survey and we look forward to using the information gathered from it to inform future actions to help make residents lives a little safer.
